ceremonies as natural as the scottish landscape

Personal, grounded, and written from scratch — so your celebration feels relaxed, heartfelt, and true to you.
You don’t want an off-the-shelf ceremony. You want something heartfelt and relaxed — a celebration that reflects you, not a script. That’s where I come in. With a calm, steady presence and years of experience across the Highlands, I’ll guide you through every step — helping you create a ceremony that feels natural, inclusive, and true to your values.
As Sarah & Tim shared:
Monika took us by the hand to navigate the many options and got to really know us — our values, our love of place, and of each other. Her words skilfully knitted the whole ceremony together, and despite the early March weather, she greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile. Monika had become a confidant and facilitator of the happiest, most emotional and fulfilling day of our lives. Sarah & Tim

Nature Inspired Celebrations & Ceremonies

Grounded in the awe-inspiring Highlands, the place I call home, my ceremonies are shaped by both nature and your story. While most couples I work with choose the outdoors — a windswept beach, woodland, or mountain view — Scotland also has incredible venues that let the landscape in. Whether it’s a hotel garden, a glamping pod, or a dramatic interior with sweeping views, nature can still be at the heart of your day.
Whether you’re planning a legal wedding, a vow renewal, or a symbolic ceremony, I’ll bring the same calm, thoughtful approach to create something deeply personal, wherever you choose to be..
And in Scotland, you have complete freedom — ceremonies can be held anywhere, without needing a registered venue.

How it works
From the beginning, it feels straightforward. No pressure, no fuss — just honest conversations about what matters to you. We take it one step at a time, shaping your ceremony in a way that feels relaxed and personal. You’re involved, but never overwhelmed.
As things come together, we’ll include elements that mean something to you — maybe a handfasting, a quaich, or traditions from your background. Whether you’re blending cultures, honouring family, or doing things your own way, it all fits naturally.
When the day comes — by the sea, under trees, or in a venue — it feels right. And through it all, I’ll be there to guide and support you, calmly and steadily, so you can focus on what really matters: being present with each other.

What’s Included — and What It Costs
I like to keep things simple and clear — no hidden extras, no surprises.
My fee is:
  • £615 for ceremonies in the North-West Highlands of Scotland (where I’m based), 30 miles from Lochinver
  • £695 for ceremonies in Inverness, most of the remaining Highlands including the Cairngorms, Moray, and parts of Skye close to the mainland
  • £750 for ceremonies in the rest of mainland Scotland, including Perthshire, Aberdeen, and the Central Belt
  • For celebrations on the Isles (North, West, Hebrides, Orkney, Shetland) or in the far South of Scotland (such as Dumfriesshire or the Borders), I’ll gladly provide a tailored quote

Travel is always included within each region, so you’ll know your full costs from the outset.
Most ceremonies will fall neatly into one of these categories. Every now and then, though, there are special adventures — for example, a long hike up a mountain, a remote nature location that takes extra time to access, or a winter wedding when limited daylight might mean an overnight stay. In those cases, I’ll let you know upfront if a bespoke quote is needed.

Limited Ceremonies, Deep Connection
Because I give every couple the time and focus they deserve, I only take on a select number of ceremonies each year. Availability for 2026 is open — now is a lovely time to begin the conversation.
We had simply the best day. Our guests absolutely loved the ceremony. The service was incredibly personal and special. The way you put the whole thing together was just perfect. I loved the fact that our friends and children were at the heart of our ceremony. Emily & Rob
