Beyond the Beaten Path. Outdoor Wedding Ceremonies in Scotland
For couples who feel most at home outdoors, I create personal ceremonies that belong in Scotland's landscapes—whether beside the sea, among ancient trees or high in the hills. With years of experience celebrating in wild places, I'll help your ceremony feel calm, natural and completely your own.
My Approach: A Ceremony That Feels Like You
I believe the best ceremonies are the ones where you can simply be yourselves. Free from the pressure to perform, they are personal, meaningful and centred on your commitment to one another, whether that's with just the two of you or surrounded by your closest family and friends.
My role is to guide you gently through the process, taking the time to understand your story, your relationship and what matters most to you. Together, we'll create a ceremony that feels natural and authentic, reflecting who you are rather than what anyone else expects. Whether you're drawn to a humanist approach or hold spiritual traditions close, we can include rituals that feel meaningful and true to you.
Beautifully Simple. Fully Legal.
One of the wonderful things about marrying in Scotland is the freedom to choose your own setting. Unlike elsewhere in the UK, there is no licensed venue system, so as an authorised celebrant I can conduct a fully legal wedding ceremony almost anywhere, from a quiet woodland to a remote beach or mountain glen.
That means there's no need for a separate visit to a registry office. For many couples, especially those travelling from England or overseas, it makes the whole experience feel refreshingly simple.
A Calm Journey to Your Outdoor Ceremony

Dream & Explore
We'll begin with a relaxed, no-obligation conversation about your ideas. We'll explore the landscapes that inspire you, the atmosphere you hope to create, and what matters most to you as a couple.
A Place as Unique as Your Story
Scotland is full of extraordinary places, from quiet woodlands and rolling hills to dramatic sea cliffs and white coral sand beaches. While Skye and Glencoe are famous for good reason, you might be wondering whether there's another corner of Scotland that's just as breathtaking, but feels a little more like your own.
Whether you're just beginning to dream or already have a favourite place in mind, the ceremony is the heart of the day. Scotland provides the backdrop, but it's the ceremony that transforms a beautiful location into a meaningful wedding. Here's a little about how I help make that moment feel natural, meaningful and completely your own.

Shape Your Ceremony
I'll guide you through the process, helping your ceremony take shape naturally. Together we'll create something personal, heartfelt and true to you, with readings or symbolic rituals if they feel meaningful.
Your Moment in Nature
I will meet you at your chosen spot and deliver a calm, personal, and unforgettable ceremony, allowing you to be fully present in the moment and connected to the wild beauty around you.
What couples say
"Monika retold our story perfectly amid the sounds of crashing waves on a windswept Scottish beach. A truly memorable ceremony."

The Next Step, Whenever You're Ready
Choosing a celebrant is just one part of a much bigger journey. Whether you're ready to start planning or simply gathering ideas, I hope this page has been a helpful companion. Whenever the time feels right, here are a few ways we can connect.
Path 1: Start the Conversation
If you're ready to explore the possibilities, I'd love to hear about your plans. We can have a relaxed, no-pressure conversation to see whether we're the right fit.
You won't be put on the spot.
You won't face a sales pitch.
Just a warm, relaxed first step.
Because I only take on a limited number of ceremonies each year, it's always worth getting in touch while your plans are still taking shape.
Path 2: Keep exploring
If you'd like a little more time, that's absolutely fine. Read the stories of other couples and discover how they found the places and created the ceremonies that felt right for them.
Browse Real Wedding Stories to see how other couples created their day.
Path 3: Just Beginning to Dream?
If you're in the early stages, I've created a free guide to help you explore the possibilities of an outdoor wedding in Scotland. It's a gentle introduction to choosing a location, creating a meaningful ceremony and planning a day that feels natural and completely your own.
